Starved Rock State Park

Starved Rock became Illinois's first recreational park in 1911. It has an interesting history and is full of information and adeventure to this day. There are 13 miles of trails featuring 18 canyons and many waterfalls throughout the park. Our primary adventure embarked on is hiking, but due to it's proximity to the Illinois river, fishing and boating are also available. There are cabins, campground, and lodges available if you are staying overnight at the park.
